Next Generation Leadership Initiative
Purpose:
The Next Gen. Leader Initiative is designed to train the Next Generation Leaders through Jesus’ model of hands-on ministry experience, equipping them to serve God and His Church in every ministry, profession, and sphere to which God has called them for the expansion of His Kingdom.
Goals:
Cultivate the Next Gen. Leaders’ relationship with the Lord through devotions, readings, fellowship, and prayer experiences, enabling them to live Christ-like lives.
Equip and develop the Next Gen. Leaders’ ministry experience and leadership skills through hands-on ministry opportunities, so that they may offer their best in Christ-centered service wherever God calls them to serve.
Empower and encourage the Next Gen. Leaders to be lights of God’s love wherever they are and wherever they will go, expanding God’s Kingdom by proclaiming the Gospel in word and deed through involvement in Calvary Church outreach ministries and mission trips.

Calvary is a community of people whose sole desire is to reflect the love of Jesus in the world. One of the many ways we do this is through our weekly worship gathering. Each week, we are gathered by God, transformed by the Holy Spirit, and sent into our world by Jesus. As Worship and Music intern, the Next Gen. Leader will gain hands-on experience and learn how to plan, evaluate, and execute worship service, how to work on camera and run online service, setting the stage, team communication, scheduling, and production coordination.
-
Calvary Missions seeks to love and honor God through the action of loving her neighbors. This may be in the form of relationship, partnership, or benevolence. Whether it is packing meals for local children or partnering with someone on the other side of the globe, Calvary seeks to live into the greatest commandment; love God, love people. As a Mission intern, the Next Gen. Leader will obtain hands-on ministry experience and learn project coordination, partner communication, storytelling, administrative support, organizing mission trips, and how local and global teams work with the mission department.
-
The Calvary Preaching and Discipleship Ministry is responsible for cultivating a culture of compelling preaching that is uncompromisingly biblical, distinctly Reformed, Spirit-led, Christ-centered, and God-honoring, while also envisioning, developing, and implementing a pathway of discipleship for adults that is relational (with God and other followers of Jesus), holistic (engaging the mind, body, and soul), and multiplicative (disciples making disciples). As a Preaching and Discipleship intern, the Next Gen. Leader will learn and gain hands-on ministry experience on how to prepare and deliver a sermon, leading group, coordination, communication, and administration.

Calvary Student Ministries (CSM) exists to effectively disciple students (6-12th graders) in the way of Jesus, integrate them into the life of the church, and encourage their life-long—active & growing—faith. As a Student ministry intern, the Next Gen. Leader will obtain hands-on ministry experience and learn leading Bible study, worship leading, event organization, planning and running weekly gatherings, and participating in planning and implementing mission trips.
