Calvary Update from the Governing Board 11/16/21

Calvary Family,

The Governing Board is pleased to share with you the result of the congregational vote regarding Matthew’s position as Pastor of Leadership and Care. 157 votes were cast both in person and on-line. 151 of the votes, or 96.3% were cast in favor of Matthew and his role at Calvary. We thank you for your participation in the life of Calvary Church and for affirming Matthew in his leadership role.

Additionally, through the process of casting lots by selecting books in our service November 14, Curt Wierda was both selected and commissioned as a Governing Board Elder, replacing Dillene VanBeek who joined the church staff earlier this fall. Curt immediately joined the Governing Board meeting Monday evening Nov. 15. We are grateful for the leading of the Holy Spirit in this matter, and appreciate the willingness of Robin Maxon, Marilyn Rietveld and Kent Ensing to be considered for the position.
