Weekly Update and Bulletin 03/06/22
Hi Calvary!
We have officially entered into the season of Lent, and during our Ash Wednesday service I was reminded why Lent is so important. It is in understanding our own brokenness that we are able to more fully see God’s grace and understand why we are so in need of it. It was a privilege to be able to worship with you all during that night, and I am excited to see how God will move in our hearts during this season of Lent.
Starting this Sunday, we will begin our Who is Jesus series where we will look closely at the life and ministry of the one who's love we seek to reflect in the world. Join us at 9:30am this Sunday as we will gather together, be transformed together by the Holy Spirit, and be sent into our community to reflect the love of Jesus. As usual, we will sing, pray, and hear a message from guest teacher, Larry Doornbos from Luke 4:1-13. Our prayer is that throughout this series and Lent season we will continue to grow in reflecting the love of Jesus to those around us.

Gibson CRC Update For over 110 years, Calvary has sought to faithfully live on mission with God. This has been supported in part by the generosity of our sisters and brothers in the CRC's Holland Classis. Compelled by this reality and seeking to live out our mission to Reflect the love of Jesus in the world, the Governing Board of Calvary has agreed to enter into a supportive relationship with Gibson CRC and Pastor Rod Brandsen. Watch this video to hear more, and read this memorandum of understanding regarding this exciting relationship.
Summer Interns Our annual Calvary Student Internship is back for 2022! In our internship you will learn to serve kids, grow in professional development and make some money over the course of the summer. For the past 16 years our internship has helped students discover their gifts, develop as leaders and expand their world. We would love for you to apply online here!
