What are the marks of a true disciple of Jesus? What makes one a Christian? How should worshippers of God live in tumultuous times? These are deep and important questions, and a multiplicity of valid answers could be provided for each.

From at least one perspective, one could answer those questions by saying “I am a person of The Story”. From the beginning of time, God has been writing a story—one in which he is both the author, perfecter, and main character. But God—in his infinite wisdom and grace—chooses people to be caught up in this story.

Our hope and prayer at Calvary for this coming year, is that we—as individuals and a community—would grow in faith, discipleship, and clarity as we seek to better know The Story, believe The Story, and find our place in God’s story of redemption.

In this way, we foster a community of belonging, grow in our belief, become more like Jesus, bring hope into a hurting world, and become brave ambassadors of the Kingdom of God. May God be glorified, His people be encouraged, and the transforming news of the Gospel be proclaimed!
