LENT SERIES: THE MINISTRY OF JESUS

Throughout this series, we will enter into the life of Jesus, paying special attention to His miraculous, Spirit-empowered ministry as it is described by the Gospel writer, Luke. 

We will deeply ponder Jesus’ baptism and temptation in the wilderness, Jesus’ scandalous first sermon, the calling of his disciples, Jesus’ supernatural calming of the sea, his deliverance of the demon-possessed man, his raising of Jairus’ dead daughter, his miraculous multiplication of the fish and the loaves, and his humble yet triumphant entry into Jerusalem as the King of the Jews.

It’s our deepest hope that you see the ministry of Jesus not simply as a compelling fact of history, but as a present day reality – as Jesus’ ministry is being carried on and carried out by us, the church, through the same Holy Spirit who empowered Jesus’ ministry.

This Lent, may Luke’s Gospel not simply be words on a page, but an open door to “life in the full.”
