Charismata – The Gifts of the Spirit for Gospel Ministry and Kingdom Mission

In this series, we will look at the 9 charismata or the gifts of grace, that Paul lists and explains in 1 Corinthians 12 alongside the unfolding mission of the early church in the book of Acts from Acts 5 (where we left off in the book of Acts in the Fall) on. We will look at 1 Corinthians alongside the book of Acts in order to see how the gifts Paul lists and describes in 1 Corinthians 12 were activated and manifested through the ministry of the early church.

Through this series, we hope to demystify these somewhat strange, weird, and neglected gifts, teach you about the true, biblical nature and function of these gifts, and by God’s grace, stir up within you a holy desire to receive these gifts and to use them as Jesus’ empowered witnesses in his unfolding mission in the world today.
